Who was Eugenia Smith?
Eugenia Smith, from Chicago, also known as Eugenia Drabek Smetisko, is one of several people who claimed to be the Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov of Russia.
Eugenia wrote the Autobiography of HIH Anastasia Nicholaevna of Russia in 1963, in which she claimed that she was Anastasia.
According to papers that Eugenia used to become a citizen of the United States, she was born in Bukovina (then in Romania) in 1899.
However, she later would claim to have been born in St. Peterdburg on June 18, 1901.
